A Passion for Service and Leadership

Daiyan has always been dedicated to making a difference. His involvement in the National Honor Society and the Black Student Union has allowed him to contribute meaningfully to his school and community. Whether organizing service projects or advocating for important causes, he thrives on the opportunity to help others and create positive change.

Beyond the Classroom: A Love for Sports and Music

Outside of academics, Daiyan enjoys exercising, playing basketball, and spending time with friends. When he’s not on the court or working out, you might find him unwinding with music. His diverse taste spans across genres, with artists like Lucki, N.E.R.D, Future, Mk.gee, Sade, Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, and Frankie Beverly filling his playlists.

A Unique Journey in Language Learning

One of the most fascinating aspects of Daiyan’s journey is his commitment to learning Mandarin Chinese. He embraces the challenge of mastering a language that is not commonly pursued in his community. After three years of study, his dedication highlights his curiosity, adaptability, and global mindset.

Daiyan’s journey is only just beginning. After graduation, he will be attending the University of Louisiana’s Honors College, majoring in Computer Science. His goal is to develop strong programming skills and gain real-world experience through software engineering internships. Beyond academics, he is eager to travel, attend tech conferences, and build a network of industry professionals—a true testament to his drive and vision.
